You heard it here first, celery is cool

Yes, celery is a great vegetable for cooling you down. Mixing celery and carrot juice is also really good for the digestive system and stimulating a poor appetite.

A skin tonic, celery can reduce redness and heat on the surface of the skin helping to alleviate acne and other inflammations.

But that’s not all, fresh celery juice is antiseptic so is great for mouth ulcers and sore throats.

Low in calories celery is often eaten as a part of a weight reducing diet. (Note, eating celery covered in cream cheese will not help you lose weight!)

Broken Bones?

‘Foley Artisits’ (the guys who record sounds effects) break stalks of celery into a microphone to simulate the sound of breaking bones.

Celery is actually great for your bones, and was traditionally used as a remedy for rheumatism.
